Understanding the Dashboard
Each city card provides a comprehensive snapshot of current conditions:
Current Temperature
Displayed in Celsius with a clear indicator of the weather condition (Clear, Rain, etc.).
Humidity & Wind
Crucial for understanding how the temperature "feels" and for planning outdoor travel.
AQI (Air Quality Index)
Monitors fine particulate matter and other pollutants to give a health safety score.
Color Indicators
AQI levels are color-coded (Green for Good, Red for Unhealthy) for quick scanning.
Why AQI Matters
The Air Quality Index is calculated based on five major air pollutants. A score above 100 means the air is unhealthy for sensitive groups, while scores above 150 reflect unhealthy conditions for everyone.
We recommend checking the AQI before morning jogs, outdoor events, or when planning travel to metropolitan areas.
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the weather data?
We use data from the Open-Meteo API, which aggregates data from national weather services globally. It is highly accurate for real-time monitoring and short-term forecasts.
What is AQI and why should I care?
AQI stands for Air Quality Index. It measures how polluted the air is. High AQI can cause health issues, especially for children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions.
Can I save my favorite cities?
Currently, you can add multiple cities to your dashboard during your session. We are working on a feature to save these preferences for your next visit.
